Them we got the mod for you, Hawko's Vanilla Overhaul adds alot of visual improvement, such as firing effects, projectile trails, flares, water splash, dripping effect on amphibious units, etc.

What's new in 1.2:
-Polished existing effects

-Units that where left untouched now have better effects (Gunboat, Helicopter, Light Gunship, Heavy Hovertank, Gun Turrets, etc)

-Added flare effects to some buildings (Command, Fab, Extractor)
